Qualitative and Quantitative Marketing Research
Hellebusch's first offering is marketing research with consumers and professionals, using the method which best fits the issues. In terms of the variety of interviewing techniques available, we are able to (and have used) phone, in-person, mail, fax, and online methods in conducting studies.

For physician interviewing, Hellebusch Online is available; it consists of a large panel of physicians, who have provided email addresses and indicated a willingness to participate in online surveys. High quality, relatively inexpensive projects can be completed quickly.


Clinical Consumer Research
Hellebusch's second offering is known as Clinical Consumer Research. There are times when the line between traditional marketing research and clinical research becomes vague. Hellebusch has provided research projects, guidance, and expertise to prescription and nonprescription pharmaceutical clients, those working on Rx-to-OTC switches, and the FDA concerning these situations.

In this vein, Hellebusch has helped switch products from prescription to nonprescription status, and has several awards and plaques from clients for successfully completing innovative, logistical challenges related to switch.

Hellebusch provided an integral role in the switches of Nicorette, NicoDerm CQ, and Extra-Strength Rogaine.

Additionally, the company has been involved in label comprehension research since 1992, an area that is also becoming important for prescription products. Dr. Hellebusch has published several articles on the topic, most recently in the June, 2002 issue of the Focus, the magazine of the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS).


Consulting Services
Hellebusch's third offering is consulting services.

Past issues that have been addressed include: switch team challenges, setting goals for medical sales representatives in a nonprescription environment; measuring performance on goals in that environment; examining a market that is both Rx and OTC; and creating valid control groups in a MCO environment.

Well-documented deliverables explain a clear point-of-view on each issue. Not only are the results of these explorations summarized, but a detailed account of what was done is also provided.

Some of the more difficult questions addressed have concerned setting goals for medical sales. Most salesmen believe it is easier to raise a low level of volume than to raise a high level. If you believe this, across 30 or 40 divisions, it is not equitable to use a straight percent increase or a straight volume increase to set a goal. Hellebusch has provided answers to problems like this for several clients, by explaining what would occur using various methods and making a recommendation.
